The Saudi Research Science Institute (SRSI) is currently seeking to hire skilled tutors in Computer Science, Bioscience, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science and Mathematics for the Summer of 2022.
SRSI, a talent development program of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), is a holistic six-week summer internship experience for highly qualified grade 11 students in Saudi Arabia. Modeled after the internationally renowned MIT RSI program, KAUST SRSI provides gifted young Saudis with the opportunity to engage in advanced STEM research at KAUST’s world-class facilities under the mentorship of internationally distinguished faculty and research scientists.
Working as an SRSI tutor is a truly unique and exciting opportunity. Tutors provide academic, research, and personal support to the grade 11 participants and provide vital assistance to the SRSI staff. Tutors reside on the beautiful KAUST campus, which is located on the Red Sea coast in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia (just one hour north of Jeddah). KAUST is an international community with members (students, staff, faculty, and families) from more than 105 countries around the world. Tutors will find themselves immersed in a culturally diverse and intellectually stimulating experience at KAUST.
SRSI tutors are typically graduate students, post-docs, research scientists, university professors, and high school teachers, though the application is open to any person who qualifies. The summer 2022 SRSI program includes a 3-day orientation/training for tutors and six weeks of program activities with the high school participants.
